Growing up in the city of “Brotherly Love” July 4th was always a day of big celebrations. My family would cook outside on the grill, play music and enjoy visits from family and friends. The best part of the day for me was wondering where we would see the fireworks in the city. As I grew older that sentiment never changed, when I started driving my friends and I would go into the city to watch the fireworks and it was something about the nostalgia that kept me wanting more of that feeling year after year. As an adult July 4th remains near and dear to my heart, and I raised my children with the same practices I experienced growing up of what Independence day meant to me. The difference being we go all over to chase fireworks and celebrations year after year. I hope everyone enjoys their holiday remembering your family and friends you have celebrated with through the years who are no longer here to celebrate. Below are pictures of my family and friends celebrating July 4th through the years at various places.
Happy Birthday America, the land of the FREE, HOME and BRAVE!!!!!
