To receive is the easy part, but to serve, engage, and create relationships is easier when it’s done with a kind heart and soul. We had another memorable turkey giving in one of our local communities, that in fact we serviced this same community last year. It was so nice to see some familiar faces especially since this is an over 55 plus community. Thankfully everyone is doing well and was excited as we were to see another day and be blessed with a Thanksgiving meal. This year we went to Aldi’s and brought the stuffing, cranberry, canned vegetable and dessert. We went to Publix Supermarket one of our sponsors who we LOVE and brought the turkeys. Although this year we did not request a donation, we certainly appreciated the kind and considerate staff who made our turkey drive seem effortless. We are so extremely grateful and thankful to DisneyGrants who help make this all possible with their monetary support and show us each and everyday what it means to spread a little magic to anyone you encounter. Small and large go hand and hand and the fulfillment is abdudent. Our meaning of THANKS-GIVING here at TMFI is to show gratitude for what we have and what we don’t have, it is to give of ourselves with the smallest fiber of what we can share. Whether we give of our God given talents, monetary, emotionally, or physically, we want to be a beacon of hope to someone. We were able to donate 20 turkey dinners this year and hope that in the coming years 20 will lead to 40. We hope you all have a thankful Thanksgiving and take a moment of silence for those who are not at your dinner.
