When I am missing someone who has passed on I find myself wanting to talk to them or pray for them, and I do that as a coping mechanism so that I feel draws them close to me. It’s almost as if I continue to speak their name into existence through prayer or reference I won’t ever forget them. If I say their names each day and reminisce they remain close to me and I won’t ever forget what I am really missing. So that brings me to affirmations and why I believe they are also a good tool to use in so many situations. And most recent with this months Topic Tuesday I wanted to use them to speak grateful and gratitude words to our dearly departed who some we never got the chance to say that last great good bye. I have spoken to so many people who have said, if I could only say one more thing, or I wanted to say this but I was a day too late. Well I say it’s never too late, I believe with speaking or praying affirmations to your loved ones almost like speaking them to yourself it gives you a feeling of relief and freedom, I know for me it does. It still allows me to be closer to that loved one and I won’t ever forget them.
